By the time we got to Ray and the others, they had the balloon put away. Ray gave us each a glass of sparkling cider and recited a balloonist blessing:

"The winds have welcomed you with softness. The sun has blessed you with its warm hands. You have flown so high and so well. That God has joined you in your laughter and set you gently back into the loving arms of mother earth."

(I can't remember exactly what he said, but this is the one I found on Wikipedia.)

Lea, Pam, Nancy & Lon

We drove back to South Sedar Park and met up with Cameron and his passengers. I took some pictures of the crew. Ray's daughter, Lea, Pam from Colorado, and locals Nancy & Lon. Pam was supposed to meet Ray when he landed and he was going to take her up for a short ride. Unfortunately, it didn't happen because Ray ended up landing far away from where he planned.

Matt and I were starving and we decided to grab some breakfast before going back to the hotel. Ray, Lea & Pam joined us. Lon was headed to work and Nancy was going home. Before she left, Nancy gave me her telephone number and invited us to dinner.

On the way to the restaurant, my allergies started acting up. Boo! Watery eyes and a runny nose! At least it didn't happen before the jump!

Ray, Sarah & MattWhen we arrived at Eggington's, I was starving! I ordered ham, scrambled egg whites, and pecan French toast. OMG...so yummy! While we were eating, we talked about our adventures. Matt and I have had some amazing travels.

We also discussed our options for the next two days and asked Ray for advice. Originally, we thought about driving up to Yellowstone, but we really didn't have enough time to see everything they have to offer. Ray suggested that we go to Thermopolis and even offered to go with us!

Breakfast was delicious and the company was wonderful. What a great group of people! We were fortunate that Ray agreed to be our balloon pilot and hope that he felt it was a positive experience. Even though the jump didn't go 100% as planned, it was awesome!

When we left Eggington's it was almost 10 AM, we had full tummies and I had pecan French toast for later. I also was getting crushed by my allergies...DISLIKE!
