Throughout our travels, we collected a bunch of t-shirts from various drop zones. I was planning to make a quilt out of them once we were done. Of course, I had no idea how to make a quilt. 

Luckily, my dear friend Jennifer offered to make the quilt as my 50th birthday present. I was thrilled! Jennifer has a gift for taking fabric and making the most beautiful quilts.

At the beginning of July, I visited Jennifer and we sorted through the shirts. We didn't have one for every state, but we had plenty to make a quilt.

During the Orange Boogie in August, Jennifer showed up and surprised me with this impressive gift.

Pictures don't really do the quilt justice. It's an amazing piece of art and a gift that I will treasure forever!

I am so very fortunate to have a friend like Jennifer!
