This morning, our cats woke me up at 6:15. GRRRRR....I got out of bed, gave them fresh water, and went back to bed to snuggle up with Matt. I was in and out of sleep when his alarm went off at 7:20. Matt got in the shower and my phone started buzzing.

When I picked it up, I saw a text message from my friend Justin. We RARELY text and my first thought was that something happened to one of our mutual friends. I glanced at the phone and saw the name "Elliot". Hmmmm....I don't know of any skydivers or BASE jumpers named Elliot.

I was still groggy when I read the rest of his text. I thought it said, "Elliot is asking you to call them in the morning." My next thought - Justin accidently sent me a text that was meant for someone else. Who is Elliot and why does he want me to call "them"? Who are they?

I read it again, "Elliot in the morning is asking for you to call them." With a second message, "About jumping in all 50 states." Ah! Apparently, Elliot had read the article that was published by the reporter for the Richmond Times-Dispatch. I was still a little confused because I was reading "in the morning" like call him in the morning.

After a short exchange with Justin and Facebook messages from multiple other people, I discovered that Elliot In The Morning was the name of a radio show on DC101 and my friends were in agreement - I should call Elliot and so I did.

While the phone was ringing, I was thinking about the six degrees of separation. It was very easy for Elliot to find me via his broadcast.

It took awhile for them to answer and I almost hung up because I wasn't 100% awake and was worried I'd sound like an idiot. Here's the audio from the interview. It was fun!

Hopefully, someday I will hear the pre-interview banter. Elliot seems like an entertaining character and it would be fun to hear what was said.
